Give the app your cast's types
Give the app your cast’s types
Typing a character is not the goal. It is the input Group Dynamics needs to read your ensemble. Once 2 or more characters have a type, the ensemble reports start to fill in.
You can give each character an Enneagram type, an INTJ-style type, or both. You choose the type yourself, or take a quiz as the character.
Open a character
- Click Characters.
- In Cast Overview, find the character’s card and click Edit.
- Use the Enneagram and INTJ-style buttons at the top to jump to either section.
- When you are done, click Save.
The line at the top of Cast Overview counts your progress, for example “3 of 5 categorized.” A character counts once it has either type.
Pick an Enneagram type yourself
Under Enneagram-style Ensemble Mapping, the 9 types are listed with what each one fears and desires. Click the type that best matches how this character thinks, fears and behaves. Click it again to clear it.
Take the Enneagram quiz
- Click Discover Type.
- For each pair of statements, choose A or B: whichever better describes this character, from their point of view. Back to previous question lets you change an answer.
- At the end you see the three most likely types, with the Top match first. Click one to select it.
The quiz has 144 short pairs and takes about 10 minutes. Your answers are saved as you go, so you can stop and come back: the button then reads Resume quiz. The result is a starting point, not a verdict.
Pick an INTJ-style type yourself
Under INTJ-style Ensemble Mapping, set each of the 4 letters, or click See all types and pick from all 16.
Take the INTJ-style quiz
- Click Discover INTJ-style.
- Answer 70 quick questions as this character. For each one, choose A or B: whichever feels more like them, even if neither is a perfect fit.
- If two letters come out tied, the results ask you to pick one.
To take both quizzes in a row, click Take both.
Who can use the quizzes
Picking an Enneagram type yourself is free. The quizzes and INTJ-style are Pro features, and they are always open on the Sample Story. See Plans and the Pro trial.
