AI policy

Nothing you say into TalkingDraft is used to train any kind of AI, such as a large language model like GPT. Likewise, nothing you type into the free ScriptOutliner beat sheet calculator will ever be analysed by AI. We are writers ourselves; we would never build a tool that replaces writers with AI. These policies are set out in our Terms.

In Settings

Open Settings and go to Data Security:

• Scene dictation never trains AI: always on, for every account.
• Shield my beatsheet & outline dictation from AI: turn this on and the small mics on your section descriptions and scene notes transcribe in your browser instead of in the cloud. The first time, the app prepares a local engine; then it reads “Local transcription: stays on this device”.

Your files

When you import a script, it is read in your browser. We do not store your file.
